Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Manage IT teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
    • Allocate IT resources effectively to support organizational needs.
  3. Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee network, server, and system performance.
    • Plan for system upgrades, scalability, and security improvements.
  4. Cybersecurity and Compliance:

    • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data.
    • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Vendor and Budget Management:

    • Manage vendor relationships for IT hardware, software, and services.
    • Plan and monitor IT budgets and procurement activities.

Daily Tasks:

  • Conduct team meetings to review IT projects and incident resolutions.
  • Monitor system performance and security logs.
  • Approve IT procurement requests and manage vendor contracts.
  • Oversee cybersecurity practices and compliance audits.
  • Provide updates to senior management on IT performance and risks.

Skills:

1. Computer Skills:

  • IT Infrastructure: Servers, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and virtualization.
  • Project Management: Tools like JIRA, MS Project, or Trello.
  • Cybersecurity: SIEM tools, firewalls, encryption technologies.

2. Language Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication for reporting and team coordination.
  • Ability to present IT strategies and updates to senior leadership.

3. Job Technical (Functional) Skills:

  • IT project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Budget management and resource allocation.
  • Understanding of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL).

4. Interpersonal Skills:

  • Leadership: Managing and inspiring IT teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing complex IT challenges strategically.
  • Communication: Collaborating with executives, teams, and vendors.
  • Decision-Making: Prioritizing IT projects based on business needs.

Job Specifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: 6–10 years in IT management or leadership roles.
  • Certifications: PMP, ITIL Intermediate, or CISSP (preferred).

Performance Metrics:

  • IT project completion rates and within-budget delivery.
  • System and network uptime percentages.
  • Team productivity and resolution times for critical IT issues.
  • Compliance with IT security and regulatory standards.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional travel for vendor or team oversight.
  • Requires availability for emergency system or security incidents.
